Ongoing standard hourly rate for in person and remote* $75
Vigil ** Support- hourly rate between 7am-8pm $80
Vigil Support – hourly rate between 8pm-7am $90

* Remote support covers administrative tasks and other services provided off-site.

** Vigil support offers bedside presence during the final days or hours of life, ensuring the person is never alone.

Middle Tier Sliding Scale Criteria

– May stress about meeting basic needs* but still regularly achieves them

– May have some debt, but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs

– Owns or leases a car

– Employed

– Access to health care

– Might have access to financial savings

– Has some expendable** income

– Able to buy some new items & others second hand

– Can take a holiday annually or every few years without financial burden

*Basic needs include housing, food, utilities, and healthcare.

**Expendable income refers to money left over after paying for basic needs, which can be spent on non-essential items or experiences. E.g., you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books, and similar items each month, etc.

There are a limited number of slots for services offered at the middle and lower tiers. Please be mindful that if you purchase a service at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being honest about your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices grows strong and sustainable communities. It also respects the work of service providers, like me, who have business overheads, families to support and rent to pay.

Bottom Tier Sliding Scale Criteria

– Frequently stresses about meeting basic needs* & doesn’t always achieve them

– Has debt that sometimes prohibits meeting basic needs*

– Rents lower-end properties or has unstable housing

– Does not have a car and/or has limited access to a car; may not always afford gas

– Unemployed or underemployed

– Qualifies for government assistance (e.g., Centrelink)

– No access to savings

– No or very limited expendable income**

– Rarely buys new items

– Cannot afford a holiday or time off without financial burden
